ITINERARY OF HIMACHAL LEH & KASHMIR
Day 1: Leh
On arrival at leh airport, you will be transfer you to Hotel. Complete day for the acclimatization which is 3500 Mtrs above sea level. In the evening short walk around Leh bazaar Overnight at Hotel.
Day 2: Leh – Monasteries
Day excursion to Ulleytokpo one of the most important & beautiful monasteries of Ladakh. Visit Magnetic point, Alchi monasteries on the way. Magnetic Hill: It is a gravity hill located near Leh. The hill is alleged to have magnetic properties strong enough to pull cars uphill and force passing aircraft to increase their altitude in order to escape magnetic interference; in reality, the effect is an optical illusion created by the gravity hill. The hill is located on the Leh-Kargil-Batalik national highway and is bordered by the Sindhu River. The Indian Army maintains a sikh Gurudwara near the hill where Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the first of the Ten Gurus of Sikhism, meditated in the 15th century. Due to both the Gurudwara and the gravity hill, the area has become a popular sightseeing destination.
Day 3: Leh –Pangong Lake-Leh (300Kms-round trip)
Leave early morning at 5AM to Pangong Lake through Changla pass 5486 Mtrs. While ascending Changla pass 5486 Mtrs. Enjoy the beautiful panoramic view of the villages below the pass. After crossing the pass halt for picnic lunch at Tsoltak, the summer pastureland of the yaks. Arrive Durbuk and from there a short drive takes you to the western shore of the lake. Enjoy the landscape in the back drop of the Lake. This famous blue brackish Lake of Pangong is 5/6 Kms wide and over 144 Kms long with half of it’s running the other side of the “INDO CHINA BORDER”. One rarely feels so close to nature and environment and the scenery is unforgettable. Overnight stay
Day 4: Leh – Khardongla - Nubhra (DISKIT & HUNDER)
After early breakfast at the hotel departure to Nubra Valley enroute visit Khardongla pass, Disket and Hundar monastery. On arrival check in at Camp. Accommodation in tents. Dinner and overnight at the camp.
NUBRA: The Nubra valley lies in the north of leh and is accessible over the Khardungla pass 5600 Mtrs which is one of the highest motorable roads in the world. The Nubra valley has opened for Foreign Tourists in 1994 by the Govt. of India to expand tourists opportunities in ladakh region. The valley is on the trade route from leh to Khangar via Samsar and Karakoram passed. Apart from unparraled trekking opportunities. The valley have serval Buddhist Gompas Diskit Gompa is 350 years old and is situated on the highest point near the village in which there are about 120 Resident Buddhist Monks. The Nubra valley is also known for its double humped bacterian camels.
Day 5: Nubhra - Leh
After breakfast at the camp, Departure to Leh . On arrival check in at the hotel. Rest of the day free for shopping and independent activities. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 6: Leh - Kargil 190 Kms, Approx 6 hrs
Early morning start journey for Kargil. Kargil mainly serves as an ideal base station for adventure activities like trekking, mountaineering, river rafting etc, In high Himalayan Valleys. In the evening at leisure over night stay at hotel .
Day 7 : Kargil-Srinagar-Houseboat (Kargil – Srinagar 200 kms, Approx 5-6 hrs)
After breakfast transfer to your houseboat, rest of the day at leisure over night stay at houseboat
Day 8 : (Srinagar – Pahalgam 110kms,Approx 4hrs)
After Breakfast drive to Pahalgam check in your hotel, later go for sightseeing like Aru valley, Chandanwari, Betaab valley and enjoy the natural flaura & fauna. Evening at leisure overnight at hotel.
Day 9 :Pahalgam
This day enjoy the natural beauty of Baisaran which is known as Mini Swtizerland. Evening at leisure over night at hotel.
Day10: (Pahalgam–Srinagar110kms,Approx4hrs)
This day go for Shikara ride in dal lake, Shankarcharya Temple , Nishat Bag, Shalimar bag, Tulip Garden, evening at leisure overnight stay at hotel.
Day 11: Srinagar
This day go for full day excursion of Sonmarg/ Gulmarg. In the evening over night stay at hotel.
Day 12: Srinagar
After breakfast transfer to airport towards homewards journey.
